In the legal arena I also translate website material, for example for law firms.

My clients include law firms, consulting firms, academic researchers and charities.

Book translations
I have contributed to numerous book translations and translated several books. As an editor and proof-reader, I have also worked extensively on academic articles and publications, including most recently a PhD thesis on EU refugee and immigration law.

Training and mentoring
In addition to regular presentations at the International Japanese-English Translation Conferences organised by the Japan Association of Translators and events arranged by the Institute of Translation and Interpreting’s Japanese Network, I have been teaching the Japanese component of the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (English Law) preparation course at London Metropolitan University since 2018. I also accept mentees through the CIOL Mentoring Scheme and that organised by the ITI Japanese Network. Please contact me if you are looking for a mentor.
